Turned 27 the 13th; Saturday already passed. One year closer to the big dirt nap, I suppose.

Got a Ben 10 birthday cake. Thought that was pretty cool. So much green frosting. I prepared steaks, too. Very yummy! Then there's the enormous pop consumption.

Pat bought me, like two dozen comics (Impulse and Young Justice - sweet!) I picked out along with two or three books. Plenty of good reads and artwork to stare at coming to me. I recommend them. The series are no longer running, but back issues shouldn't be hard to find. Impulse has good humor, and if you liked Teen Titans before they got dead serious on everything, Young Justice would be a great read for ya.

Also played an awesome fan-made & pieced together 2-D fighter game my bud DW found that had at least a thousand characters. Almost any character you can think of from anime, comics, some toons, and (of course) the 2-D fighter games. Talk about sore thumbs. I even got a blood blister on my left thumb from so much playing.

Couple that with the 4-to-9 stay at the local YMCA doing weights, racquetball, and kickboxing the Wednesday before, and you got me still recovering from severe upper body soreness and immobility. Spending today away from Kickboxing class to finish recovering. Should be good to go back Wednesday's class. I'm sure Pat can do without me there tonight.

Need to figure out what in all places I plan to fill apps for this week. To get a schedule I need to do martial arts and (this fall, maybe) college again, fast food seems to be the only available jobs to me (damn lack of college ed + horrible region for employment). Retail has contradicting schedules to mine, and I want a change of pace. Too bad there's no jobs around here focused on art and creativity.

Sorry for suddenly dropping off the planet, err - at least DeviantArt for a while. My drive to draw just stalled out. Don't know when I'll start back up - though I do have a few drawings still around that just need fleshing out.

Need to find me a good chatroom or message board/forum somewhere focused on toon talk. No prob finding anime chats & forums; only if I was interested in that.
